Planning your first trip Thredbo or one of many, there is always something new to explore if you look for it.
I have been skiing and more recently snowboarding Thredbo for some 21 years and I am always looking for new experiences to explore. Here are some of my favourites
Flare Run - An old tradition but a good one. Every Saturday night weather permitting
Thredbo runs its flare run from the top of Snow Gums chairlift. You need to be at least a strong intermediate skier, able to ski without poles and it can get slippery at night but apart from all that, it is a lot of fun and a great way to kick start your Saturday night.
First Tracks – Ok getting up early is not too easy after a big night out but being the first to hit the slopes to make your own tracks is definitely worth it, particularly if Thredbo has received more than a light dusting overnight. It is first in best dressed so make sure you set your alarm early if it’s dumping the night before.
